In Zambia, 72-year-old Clare and her three sisters are facing serious drought. They live in the Senanga District, where 78% of the population live below the poverty line, or on less than $2 per day. Women bear the brunt of this crisis. Clare is one of 1,280 other farmers who enrolled in Action Against Hunger’s black-eyed pea (cowpea) project.
