As of Sunday afternoon, there is no flooding in Nome. According to the National Weather Service, wind started to pick up late Sunday morning and peaked at 1:53 p.m. with west winds at 39 mph, gusting to 55 mph. As of 3:53 p.m., the winds are still blowing at 28 mph, gusting to 39 mph. Although water levels are low right now, they are expected to peak Monday morning.
