The only danger for lithium batteries is discharge “beyond zero” or a critically low voltage. In the case of a Tesla “0%” is actually not zero, there is a sizable buffer at the bottom of the battery to prevent any damage.

Nov 26, 2012 · 2017 MS 100D. I had the same issue. New batteries in both key fobs, soft and hard reset, same "Low key fob battery". I took both key fobs and placed them in the center console. After about 10 seconds, the "Low key fob battery" message went away. Yay!!!

Mar 28, 2019 · The Tesla service centers, in particular, have gotten better at diagnosing these kinds of faults. I'll also note that there's 2008 (I think?) model S's and roadsters floating around, so, yeah, Of Course they've got elderly low voltage batteries going on the fritz.

If you contaminate the coolant battery system you are looking at a repair bill beyond your worst nightmares and risk voiding the battery warranty... If you are comfortable with these risks - proceed with caution.

May 16, 2019 · The technician who looked at the car believes a low coolant issue has caused the computer to overheat, subsequently fail and requires replacement. This work would cost £2000 outside of warranty cover so be careful if you experience these issues.
