The man killed in a police shooting during a standoff involving a hostage in DeKalb earlier this week has been identified.

The DeKalb County Coroner's Office has identified the man shot and killed by police during a hostage situation on Rich Road late Tuesday night as 42-year-old Abram Perez, of Rockford.
