Funeral services for U.S. Rep. Sylvester Turner, a former Houston mayor who died early Wednesday morning, will be held in Houston next week. Turner will lie in state at the Houston City Hall rotunda for city residents to come pay their respects on Tuesday from 9 a.

Sylvester Turner became the 62nd mayor of Houston, leading the city from 2016 to 2024, before being elected to the United States House of Representatives in 2024.
