Illinois law enforcement officers should be allowed to arrest Texas House Democrats who have been staying in the Chicago area this week, Attorney General Ken Paxton argued in a lawsuit filed Thursday evening.

The warrants apply only within state lines, making them largely symbolic as most of the legislators in question decamped to Illinois, New York and Massachusetts.
