The PGA Tour is moving the Genesis Invitational to Torrey Pines, the site of this week's Farmers Insurance Open, according to a Golfweek report.

The tournament, scheduled for Feb. 13-16, is being moved from Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades because of this month’s wildfires and the resulting damage.

Golfweek has learned that the PGA Tour is in the final stages of negotiations to move the 2025 Genesis Invitational to Torrey Pines in La Jolla.

Wildfires in the Los Angeles area forced a relocation of this year’s Genesis to Torrey Pines, which is hosting a Tour event this week.

Torrey Pines is hosting the Farmers Insurance Open this week saving Genesis the difficulty of preparing for a major event in less than a month.

The Tiger Woods-hosted event will move because of safety and concerns and respect for Los Angeles fire victims

The tournament, which Woods hosts and whose foundation is the beneficiary, is played in Pacific Palisades, the site of the largest of the Los Angeles fires.

The PGA Tour announced Thursday that the 2025 Genesis Invitational will not be held at Riviera Country Club due to the impact of the Los Angeles wildfires. The third signature event of the PGA Tour season is scheduled for Feb.
