2027 Volvo EX60 Electric Crossover Teased for the First Time
First announced last year, Volvo gave us our first sneak peek at the EX60 electric crossover that will debut the brand's SPA3 platform. When it shows up, the EX60 will launch Volvo's SPA3 platform which the company says will allow for cheaper and more efficient cars.

Sweden-based Volvo for the first time previewed its EX60, which is the electric equivalent of the XC60 SUV. Shown as a full-size clay model at the Volvo ES90 reveal event, the all-electric EX60 is set to launch overseas next year.

The upcoming EX60 will be sized somewhere between the compact EX30 and the three-row EX90 flagship and is set to debut a more scalable SPA3 architecture.
Volvo offers glimpse at EX60 electric crossover due in 2026
Volvo has provided a sneak peek at its upcoming EX60 electric compact crossover during a video released on March 5 for the reveal of the ES90 electric midsize hatchback. A partial reveal of a clay model appears at the 24:55 mark in the video, clearly marked as the EX60.

Volvo has just revealed the all-new ES90 saloon, but it’s already given us a teaser of its next SUV; the Volvo EX60. A glimpse of the new model was shown during a promotional video played during the electric saloon’s launch, and it follows a few new details of the forthcoming car.
Volvo EX60 SUV Makes Surprise Appearance
Volvo didn’t say anything about the crossover, but it was briefly mentioned during their 2024 financial presentation. In particular, the company noted the first EX60 test vehicle has been built and driven. They added the model will ride on the new SPA3 platform, which will “launch on target with significant reduction on cost.”

However, Volvo showed more than that since it also provided a teaser for the EX60. At the 24:55 mark in the video below, the electric crossover "accidentally" makes a brief appearance in the clay studio.
