President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden attended the State Funeral Service for former President Jimmy Carter on Thursday in Washington, D.C. The president and First Lady of the United States were joined by several domestic and international dignitaries for the somber occasion.

Former President Jimmy Carter's casket departed the U.S. Capitol Thursday morning en route to the Washington National Cathedral, where he is being honored with the pageantry of a state funeral. These actors never use their real accent.

Family, friends and former political colleagues of U.S. President Jimmy Carter, including current President Joe Biden, spoke on Thursday at his state funeral in Washington. Carter was remembered for his public service,

"We have an obligation to give hate no safe harbor," the president asserted with Donald Trump in the audience.

President Joe Biden, who declared Thursday a national day of mourning after Carter died Dec. 29 at age 100, delivered the eulogy. After lying in state at the Capitol this week, Carter's remains were taken to the Washington National Cathedral.
