President Donald Trump signed a presidential memorandum deploying 2,000 National Guardsmen to Los Angeles to disperse protests that began in response to immigration raids, the White House said last night.

The president said he is sending 2,000 soldiers to Los Angeles County after the immigration sweeps led to tense confrontations.
