Apple Intelligence is the product of more than a year's worth of tireless testing. Here's what Apple engineers used to ensure the quality of their AI software.

As reported by TechRadar, that suggests Apple Intelligence will also be arriving as part of the update. The first batch of features in the software updates will include: Writing Tools — helps with proofreading and rewriting in a chosen tone of voice Smart Replies — allows users to quickly reply to messages and emails Clean Up in Photos — allows people to simply select an object and remove it A redesign of Siri — allows users to ask follow-up questions and tougher queries The Notification Summaries — uses AI to condense messages from your contacts into one brief line.

Apple's release notes for the iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2 developer betas are available on Apple's website, but they don't list all the new features. And there's quite a few in this release, so here's an overview (focusing on Apple Intelligence).

iOS 18.2 will bring the second batch of Apple Intelligence features to users. The first batch, including features like a slightly smarter Siri and notification summaries, is set to launch next week with the official release of iOS 18.1.
