A 29-year-old man was shot and critically wounded on a CTA Red Line train Wednesday morning, Chicago police said.

A Chicago shooting on a CTA Red Line train early Wednesday morning left a man critically injured, officials said.

The shooter got off the train and fled south on State Street early Wednesday, police said. No one is in custody.
