Ohio County official release names of the six dead from weekend flash flooding amid recovery efforts
WHEELING, W.Va. –Officials with the Ohio County Police Department have released the names of those individuals who have died as a result of the flash flooding that occurred in the area beginning Saturday night into Sunday morning. At Monday afternoon’s press conference, Chief Deputy Kent Lewis confirmed that six people have passed away.

At 643 PM EDT, doppler radar and the public reported thunderstormsproducing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.7 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding was already occurring, the NWS said.
