Councillors have given their enthusiastic support for a campaign to create an outdoor tidal pool in Scarborough.

Scarborough and Whitby MP Alison Hume has called on the government to implement a cross department strategy to deliver better access to healthcare for people in coastal communities.

The annual beach race commences at Filey Sailing Club, with competitors running south along the beach, turning near Hunmanby Gap and then returning to the Sailing Club.

The wet weather affected most games, but all but one of our local cricket sides were at least able to complete their matches on Saturday.
