Dorothy Green, a Sun City resident, recently celebrated her 100th birthday with a meal and cake surrounded by family and friends.

A 30-foot-long sperm whale was euthanized after washing up on Hilton Head Island May 4. The whale was unwell, leading to the euthanization.
