Evacuation orders eased in Garden Grove, but thousands remain displaced
After evacuation orders eased Monday night for thousands of residents in Garden Grove, some residents who have been able to return home say it’s a relief after spending several days in a shelter – while others are still anxiously waiting for their turn to go home.
Officials have lifted all evacuation orders related to an overheating chemical tank in southern California, a day after a crack in the structure eliminated the risk of a catastrophic blast.

The blast risk has passed, but the damaged Garden Grove tank still poses concerns, keeping thousands displaced and officials on alert.
Orange County officials say about 16,000 residents remain evacuated from their homes.

Gilbert Fire & Rescue orders evacuation over leaning wall, instability
