The Tokyo Xtreme Racer series has been a sleeper hit since the Dreamcast days, even with its origins on the Super Famicom. Now, after an eighteen-year absence, TXR is coming back to Steam early access.

The announcement of the first new Tokyo Xtreme Racer title in 18 years took everyone by surprise in pretty much the best way possible last fall, and thankfully, we won’t have to wait very long to get our first taste.

When Tokyo Xtreme Racer speeds into early access, those who jump into the driving seat will find that they can play through half of the game’s story. More specifically, there’
