In laptops, power dissipation is shared between the major components the biggest two being the GPU and the CPU. So it is very important to get maximal efficiency from both of them.

Just running at stock clocks, the k cpu will require up to 35% more heat dissipation. That's why I typically go with S-cpus as they perform 90-95% as well at stock clocks but use 30% less power.
