“Voters on the Early Voting Request List should expect to receive their cards by mid-February,” explained Danielle Jensen, Douglas County Election Commissioner. “This card assists our office in processing applications for by-mail ballots more efficiently, and we appreciate voters’ use of the card when possible.”

Voters made their voices heard to fill a vacancy in a special election on Tuesday. Jazelle Miller has been elected to fill an open seat on the tribe’s council. The Omaha Tribe of Nebraska announced that race was needed after Dustin Lovejoy resigned from the council.

Another Republican candidate has announced her bid for Nebraska governor, joining the race months ahead of the May primary election.

Nebraska Secretary of State Bob Enven responded to a letter on Friday from the Democratic National Committee, noting a lawsuit over voter information.
