A new update for Signal’s Windows app will help users dodge Recall’s screenshots, but could cause other problems.

With no official opt-out from Recall, Signal says it was forced to devise its own method to block screenshots. The new feature is now on by default.

Signal said today that it is updating its Windows app to prevent the system from capturing screenshots, thereby protecting the content that is on display.
