A New Jersey Transit bus hit a child at 6th and Market Streets on Monday morning, according to the Philadelphia Police Department. The child, who was not identified, was taken to a hospital and was listed in stable condition.

A pedestrian was taken to the hospital early Monday after being struck by a New Jersey-bound NJ Transit bus in the Center City section of Philadelphia, transit officials said. The victim, who was not identified, was struck at 9:09 a.m. at the intersection of Sixth and Market streets in the city, an NJ Tansit spokesman said.
