Most of southcentral Pa. is under a flash flood warning, as heavy rains have closed a section of Route 30 and several communities, including Mt. Joy in Lancaster County, are reporting severe flooding.

There is now a declaration of disaster in one Lancaster County community after intense storms brought heavy rain to the area on Monday. A severe flash flooding event prompted the Mount Joy Borough Council to declare an emergency at 5 p.

A stretch of Route 30 was closed in Lancaster County Monday evening after flash flooding created dangerous conditions for drivers.
