Shubham Upadhyay, a resident of Uttam Nagar in the national capital, was arrested for posting two bomb threat messages to draw attention after seeing similar news reports on TV.

A threatening call regarding a 'human bomb' on a flight from Mumbai to Delhi has been traced back to a family dispute, highlighting the alarming frequency of bomb threats at Sahar police station.

During interrogation, the accused reportedly admitted to sending the messages, claiming he was influenced by similar incidents on the news and was seeking attention.

A 25-year-old man was arrested in relation to a false bomb threat that caused panic at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in Delhi.

The threat to the hotels was received via anonymous emails with the same content demanding a ransom of nearly ₹50 lakh.

Just a day after an explosion occurred outside a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) school in Delhi, all such schools across the country received an email threatening that they would be bombed, sources said.

"Vistara flight UK17 operating from Delhi to London on October 18, 2024 received a security threat on social media. In line with the protocol, all relevant authorities were immediately informed and as a precautionary measure, the pilots decided to divert the flight to Frankfurt," the spokesperson said.
