The NHL trade deadline is two months away but the Blackhawks will be sellers, likely dealing Taylor Hall due to their poor season.

With the Chicago Blackhawks dead last in the standings, general manager Kyle Davidson will likely spend more time over the next months evaluating draft prospects and taking calls leading up to the March 7 deadline. Davidson likely won’t have his busiest deadline since he took over, but his team has a few candidates to be traded.

In the Chicago Blackhawks' match against the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday night, Colton Dach earned his first career NHL point.

Chicago Blackhawks center Colton Dach will be playing in his NHL debut across from his brother, Kirby of the Montreal Canadiens. Colton, who was drafted No. 61 overall in the 2021 NHL Draft, was called up from Chicago's AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs on Thursday.

Not only will the forward make his NHL debut for the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday, but he'll do it against his brother, Kirby, a forward for the Montreal Canadiens, when the teams square off at United Center (8 p.m. ET; CHSN, TSN2, RDS).
