The Boston Red Sox have missed out on a bunch of predicted free agent signings, but they did do the blockbuster trade people expected. Now, Fansided’s Hunter Noll believes the Sox may use prospects to once again make another blockbuster trade.

One of them was traded by the Red Sox in exchange for Vaughn Grissom; the other was traded to the Red Sox in exchange for Kyle Teel, Braden Montgomery, Chase Meidroth and Wikelman Gonzalez. Yes, we’re talking about Chris Sale and Garrett Crochet.

The Boston Red Sox have made it clear all offseason long that they intend to rise the ranks in the MLB after a few seasons spent in the middle of the pack. And they certainly have put their money where their mouth is.
