The Kansas Highway Patrol on Wednesday made public the name of a man killed Jan. 17 when the semi-trailer he was driving left the Kansas Turnpike and struck a bridge pillar in eastern Shawnee County.

Kansas Highway Patrol troopers and rescue workers were called to the scene of the crash, which occurred where the turnpike passes beneath a bridge at S.E. Stubbs Road near its mile marker 187.
