I was so surprised to see the article and pictures of Ed Gordon's jade plant. Mine isn't as old, only about 15. It was started from a leaf of my grandmother's plant, which was more than 65 years old.

Ed Gordon has a green thumb in a shade of jade. In 2001, when I wrote a story about his then-25-year-old jade plant, it had a trunk 20 inches around and bloomed every two to three years.
