South African authorities raided a U.S. refugee facility in Johannesburg, briefly detaining U.S. staff who have been processing white Afrikaner refugees.

Police have arrested seven Kenyans working illegally at an asylum centre processing white South Africans wanting to flee to the United States.

“We are seeking immediate clarification from the South African government and expect full cooperation and accountability,” Tommy Pigott, a State Department spokesman, said in a statement.
