WEST PHILADELPHIA -- A snake gave passengers a scare Sunday afternoon, forcing an emergency evacuation in West Philadelphia. The incident happened around 3 p.m. at 52nd Street and Westminster Avenue.

There is a new, slithering addition to the streets of Somerville. A large snake was spotted slinking along the side of a road Saturday morning. Somerville Animal Control confirmed it is a ball python.
