Illinois-based company Treehouse Foods issued a voluntary recall of three flavors of Trader Joe’s frozen waffles due to the potential for contamination with listeria monocytogenes. While Trader Joe's supplier for green onions, Church Brothers Farms, issued a recall, due to potential salmonella contamination.

A recall has been issued due to some green onions being contaminated with salmonella. Check to see if the Trader Joe's in your state was impacted.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced that a recent recall has been expanded to include more than 11.7 million pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products. The items are being recalled because they may be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes.

The contaminated green onions were sold at Trader Joe’s in Washington, D.C. and the following 28 states: No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this recall. The recalled green onions have a “pack date” of Sept. 25, that is listed on the packaging.

Green onions add flavor and color to many dishes such as stir-fries, potato salad, and in spreads or dips. If you have the vegetable in your refrigerator, you may want to check the label—green onions have been recalled in states across the U.

Trader Joe's scallions recently tested positive for salmonella, and have been pulled as part of a recall effort. Make sure you didn't buy any of those affected.
