The BBC has published the findings of a review into what the broadcaster knew about the conduct of its former radio DJ Tim Westwood, who has been accused of multiple counts of sexual misconduct. According to the report,

White, the barrister engaged to investigate the BBC’s response to the Westwood allegations, noted that the DJ often made sexualized remarks on his shows, similar to Russell Brand, another former BBC DJ who has been accused of sexual misconduct.

The BBC has today published the findings of a review carried out by Gemma White KC into what the BBC knew about Tim Westwood’s conduct during his time at the BBC, and how it managed those complaints at the time. Tim Westwood worked for the BBC as a Radio 1 and 1Xtra DJ between 1994 and 2013. The review was commissioned by the BBC Board.
