Sen. Ted Cruz credited the “relentless” fundraising by the Democratic Party for making his race against Rep. Collin Allred (D-TX) so close. There is less than a week left until Election Day when Cruz will defend his seat in a closely contested Senate.

The comes as Democrats face a challenging set of races nationwide to maintain control of Congress' upper chamber.

Ted Cruz's campaign cited a series of ads running in Texas paid for by the DSCC and Allred's campaign they say violated FEC rules.
