SHELBY TOWNSHIP, MI — No charges will be authorized against a Shelby Township police officer who shot and killed a 41-year-old man from Troy this June. Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido said Thursday, Aug. 7, that the actions of the officer who shot and killed Thomas Antonio Jackson were justified.

Thomas Antonio Jackson, 41, died after being shot five times by the officer June 3, Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said.

A Shelby Township police officer who shot and killed an armed Troy man in June will not face criminal charges for his actions.
