Firefighters rushed to the scene of a smoky house fire in Ross Township on Tuesday morning. The two-alarm fire was first reported around 8 a.m. at a two-story home on Norbert Street. A family dog reportedly died in the flames,

Crews are battling a house fire in Ross Township. Allegheny County dispatch said crews were called to 3 Norbert Street at 7:47 a.m. Tuesday. As of 8:20 a.m., the blaze was classified as a two-alarm fire, dispatchers said.

Three people were taken to a local hospital from the scene. Seville Volunteer Fire Company said two of their firefighters were taken to the hospital with first and second degree burns. West View Volunteer Fire Department said one of their members rolled his ankle and was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
