A federal court jury found Tesla partly liable on Friday in a 2019 car crash that killed a pedestrian and left another person badly injured when the car was in Autopilot mode.

The federal jury held that Tesla bore significant responsibility because its technology failed and that not all the blame can be put on a reckless driver.

Tesla has been ordered to pay $243m (£183m) in compensation after a jury ruled that its Autopilot technology was partly to blame for a fatal crash involving one of its cars.
