Rumors out of Asia captured the attention of Apple fans in 2023 with claims that Apple planned to offer a more affordable MacBook
Apple is rumored to be readying a new low-cost MacBook with an A18 processor that if real, will sell by the millions and further drive market share. Let's talk about what's been rumored.
Later in 2026, Apple is said to launch M6 MacBook Pro variants. Interestingly, while a redesign is rumored, these models are still reportedly 14-inch and 16-inch models. However, word on the street is the Pro models will be thinner, along with boasting an OLED display.
But whatever the company does, the 13-inch MacBook Air is still a great all-rounder and a good combination of size and speed for people whose laptop is a purely portable computer that floats from room to room in their house rather than traveling for work or getting docked on a desk.
Upgraded is a MacBook Upgrade Program. Instead of buying outright or leasing, you just pay monthly (starting at $33.28) and every 2 years, you can upgrade to the latest model if you want.
Mac Pro, with its unique cylindrical design, has been added to Apple's vintage and obsolete products list, along with multiple 2019 iMac and 2018 iPad Pro models.
We won’t see any new MacBook Pro in 2025, according to Bloomberg’s regular Apple leaker Mark Gurman, who says Apple may delay these devices to the first half of 2026. In the last few years, Apple has launched a new MacBook Air in the first few months of the year before offering a new Pro model in the fall.
