THE ALL ENGLAND CLUB, LONDON — There are only two players who have been able to knock Ben Shelton out of Grand Slams this year: Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. That’s good news and bad for Shelton, who exited Wimbledon in the quarterfinals Wednesday afternoon as Sinner sent him home, 7-6 (2), 6-4, 6-4.
Italian tennis star Jannik Sinner has been the focus of so much given that he's the No. 1 men's player in the world with multiple Grand Slam titles to his name. That's included dating rumors. After he dated and had a breakup with fellow tennis player Anna Kalinskaya, there hasn't been much in the way of rumors ... until Wimbledon 2025.
Now, Sinner is looking to move within one major of the Golden Slam. He has already captured the Australian Open and the US Open, winning both of those tournaments in 2024. Carlos Alcaraz outlasted Sinner in a five-set thriller in the French Open final, but can the Italian break through at the All England Club in 2025?
For three straight years Novak Djokovic, the Serbian star who owns the most Grand Slam titles in tennis history, has been denied a spot in Wimbledon's final.
