The Texas Longhorns are heading to the Final Four of the women’s NCAA basketball tournament for the fourth time in program history and first since 2003.

Houston basketball secured its spot in the Final Four on Saturday with an Elite Eight win vs. Tennessee. Here's the Cougars history in the Final Four:

Nearly half a million brackets in the Women's Tournament Challenge correctly predicted UCLA, South Carolina, Texas and UConn to reach the Final Four. While many expected these teams to reach Tampa, Florida, they are an interesting split of old and new.

The Huskies are back in the Final Four for the 16 th time in the last 17 years. They won Region 4 with a 78-64 victory over USC in the Elite 8. The All-America Bueckers led UConn with 31 points, three rebounds, and six assists.

While some have complained that the lack of upsets have made the 2025 NCAA tournament a little less interesting, what we're left with is all four No. 1 seeds in the Final Four for only the second time in history.

Since the first round, when six of the 14 SEC teams in the men's tournament were eliminated, the conference is 11-4.
