Mondo Duplantis fulfilled a “dream” by setting his latest pole vault world record in his home county of Sweden. The 25-year-old has now broken the world record 12 times, bettering the record he managed in February by 1cm on his home turf in Stockholm.

Sweden's Mondo Duplantis has broken the men's pole vault world record for a 12th time. Duplantis, born and raised in Louisiana with a Swedish mother, cleared 6.28 meters (20 feet, 7 inches) on his first attempt at a Diamond League meet in Stockholm.
