Coinbase executives Jesse Pollak and Paul Grewal took to X (formerly Twitter) to address one of the subjects that have brought major backlash on the exchange — the perceived arbitrariness of its token listing criteria.

The CEO of Coinbase, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the United States, has proposed reevaluating the company’s asset listing process in response to the rapid surge in new token creations. In a January 24 post on X,

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said the exchange needs to rethink the listing process for new tokens, as around 1 million are created weekly and urged regulators to adapt their approval methods to benefit customers.
