John Tortorella’s tenure with the Philadelphia Flyers ended after a confrontation with defenseman Cam York escalated a series of issues inside the organization.

During postgame media last night, York's teammate and defensive partner Travis Sanheim noted that he had "been through situations—maybe not the same, but difficult times" and that he was trying to "keep [York's] mind straight and try to see the positives and try to help him out as best as I can."

Cam York knew the questions would be coming after he sat on the bench for the entirety of the Flyers’ 6-4 win against the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday night. It’s not every day you see a team’s top-pairing defenseman dress and not play.
