A new leak claims AMD ’s upcoming Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor will see an 8% performance boost over the Ryzen 9 7800X3D — in other words, the chip that is regarded as one of the best gaming CPUs on the market now looks set to be dethroned.

A clutch of leaks, including some benchmarks, paint a picture of an all-round winner of a 3D V-Cache processor from AMD.

Multi-threaded performance is also reportedly up 15% over the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, potentially making this new gaming CPU a solid upgrade.

AMD recently confirmed that next-gen Ryzen X3D is arriving on November 7, so we can theoretically expect the Ryzen 9800X3D to go on sale then – in just two weeks’ time. We may see a reveal of the processor as soon as tomorrow, October 25, if other rumors are right.
